Description
The Bleeding Control (BCON) course teaches the First Responder to administer lifesaving treatment to a patient that has uncontrolled bleeding. The course covers the three preventable causes of combat death and the treatment for all three. The training provided by Combat First Aid-Foreman Consulting is developed from Tactical Combat Causality Care (TCCC) – military medical curriculum. This Course has been adapted to specifically address First Responders using evidence based medicine and treatment and is relevant to medical and non-medical First Responders.
Look forward to a dynamic and hands-on course that will train you to confidently apply a tourniquet, use M.A.R.C.H. to find bleeding that may not be initially obvious, apply chest seals and use hemostatic gauze for junctional wounds.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: None. All training equipment will be supplied.
RECOMMEDED ATTIRE: Please come dressed in your duty uniform or comfortable dark colored clothing as the fake blood used in training could stain light colored fabric.
COST: FREE! Tuition is sponsored and paid for by the North Central Region EMS Council
